“Zenless Zone Zero” HoYoverse’s Reveals New Gameplay Footage For Upcoming Action RPG

The annual Tokyo Game Show 2022 is in full swing. One of the attendees in the event is HoYoverse who has recently concluded their “Genshin Impact” version 3.1 presentation. They also presented other games during the event. Two of which are upcoming titles, “Honkai: Star Rail” and the highly anticipated action RPG, “Zenless Zone Zero” which just dropped a brand new 18-minute gameplay demo.

About “Zenless Zone Zero”

“Zenless Zone Zero” is dubbed as an urban fantasy action RPG. It is a cross-platform anime-action RPG set in a dystopian future. Players will be transported into the city of Eridu and meet unique playable characters who have their own goals of uncovering a dark mystery that may be bigger than they expected.

Titled “Just Another Day At The Video Store,” the video shows the daily lives and (eventually the players) of the protagonists only known to belong to an unknown faction. It shows the interactions you will encounter with NPCs, the cooking system, and the urban area you’ll be roaming around in. On the action side of things, 2 factions are featured: The Gentle House Faction and Belobog Heavy Industries.

In “Zenless Zone Zero,” players are known as Proxies who work as mercenaries, jumping from various contracts and missions to make a living. Being a Proxy means facing danger at all times as most of their missions need them to traverse the twisted environments only known as The Hallows. These areas seem to have a mind of their own and change every time players enter which basically translates that the game has a rogue-like game mechanic to it.

To survive, Proxies have the ability called “Dual Identity.” It’s basically the character swapping mechanism where you can switch between active characters while in combat much like “Genshin Impact.”

Release Date And Availability

“Zenless Zone Zero” is currently in development and is set to launch for Android, iOS, and Windows PC. No specific release date has been announced just yet. For more information about the game, visit their official website. Pre-registration for the game is also ongoing through the website so you better sign-up as well while you’re there.
