Publisher Shochiku and developer Serafini Productions have announced that BrokenLore: UNFOLLOW, the latest installment in the psychological horror series, will be released on PlayStation 5 alongside its previously announced PC (Steam) version.
A Deep Dive into Digital Dread
In UNFOLLOW, players assume the role of Anne, a young woman ensnared in a nightmarish realm shaped by the pressures of social media. The game delves into themes of cyberbullying, body dysmorphia, and the relentless pursuit of online validation. Every environment, creature, and dialogue fragment represents aspects of Anne’s fractured psyche, leading to multiple endings influenced by player choices.

Expanding the BrokenLore Universe
UNFOLLOW is part of the broader BrokenLore series, a collection of standalone stories that contribute to a larger narrative puzzle. Previous titles like LOW and DON’T WATCH have set the stage, with FOLLOW and UNFOLLOW further exploring the series’ central themes. The games are designed for players who enjoy piecing together clues and uncovering hidden truths across interconnected storylines.

Real Voices, Real Impact
Adding authenticity to its narrative, UNFOLLOW features appearances by real-life online creators, including YouTuber Akidearest. Their inclusion underscores the game’s exploration of the psychological toll of digital life, providing players with a resonant and immersive experience.

Availability
BrokenLore: UNFOLLOW is scheduled for release in Q3 2025 on both PlayStation 5 and PC (Steam). Players interested in the PC version can add the game to their wishlist on Steam to receive updates.
