Dynasty Warriors: Origins Launching January 17, 2025

Koei Tecmo and Omega Force have announced the release of Dynasty Warriors: Origins on January 17, 2025. The game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. This latest installment in the long-running hack-and-slash franchise introduces a new protagonist, a nameless martial artist with amnesia, set against the backdrop of the Three Kingdoms period in ancient China.

The gameplay will maintain the series’ signature 1 vs. 1,000 combat style, with added strategic elements such as commanding units and temporarily controlling allied Musou officers. Players can choose to fight solo or with allied officers and soldiers, influencing the story through their decisions.

Familiar characters, including Lu Bu, will return, and a new continental map feature will offer players the chance to explore China between battles, adding context to the historical setting.
