SEGA is proud to announce that Aniplex’s Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 is now available on PlayStation^®4, PlayStation^®5, Nintendo Switch™, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. Players with the Deluxe Edition of the Steam^® version can also start playing today. Additionally, we have released the fourth promotional video, which highlights both the Story Mode and the VS Mode.

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 picks up where the last game left off, allowing you to embark on the next chapter of Tanjiro Kamado’s journey. In VS Mode, choose from a roster of over 40 characters from the series, including all 9 Hashira, and face off against opponents online and offline! The release date for the Steam^® version is August 6, 2025.

Story Mode

Continue where Tanjiro’s journey left off in the first Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles. Fight your way through the events of the Entertainment District Arc, Swordsmith Village Arc, and Hashira Training Arc from the anime adaptation!

VS Mode

Over 40 characters are playable, including the 9 Hashira, Upper Rank demons like Gyokko and Zohakuten, and the colorful characters of Kimetsu Academy. Choose your favorites and set up your dream matchups!

Hashira Joins as Playable Characters

All nine Hashira, the highest-ranking Demon-Slayer swordsmen: Giyu Tomioka (Water Hashira), Kyojuro Rengoku (Flame Hashira), Tengen Uzui (Sound Hashira), Muichiro Tokito (Mist Hashira), Shinobu Kocho (Insect Hashira), Mitsuri Kanroji (Love Hashira), Obanai Iguro (Serpent Hashira), Sanemi Shinazugawa (Wind Hashira), and Gyomei Himejima (Stone Hashira) have been made into playable characters.

Dual Ultimates

Players will be able to team up through certain character combinations to unleash stylish new Dual Ultimates to devastate your opponent. Use this power of forged bonds to your advantage!

The Path of a Demon Slayer

A new mode where players can revisit the story of the previous game through battles and cinematic scenes from the Tanjiro Kamado, Unwavering Resolve Arc and the Mugen Train Arc.

Gear

Wearable items that boost your characters attack or recover health during battle. Personalize your character’s equipment and take on Story and VS Mode!

Mastery

The more you use a character in Story and VS Mode, the more their mastery will increase. Raising their mastery will grant you a variety of rewards that can be used to create a unique Slayer ID!

Training Paths

A new mode where you get to train under a Hashira of your choice. Battle against a series of opponents before testing your mettle against the Hashira!

New fighters to be released in post-launch updates!

Muzan Kibutsuji will join the VS Mode roster via a free update, and even more characters are set to arrive as part of the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle Character Pass. Stay tuned for details!
