Little Witch in the Woods, the charming pixel art life sim from indie developer SUNNY SIDE UP, is finally brewing up its full 1.0 release on PC via Steam this September 4. After more than two years in Early Access, the highly anticipated version is nearly here—with more content, better polish, and a slight price increase.

What’s New in Version 1.0?

If you’ve already explored the forest or helped villagers as young witch Ellie, get ready for a much richer experience. The 1.0 launch comes packed with new features:
Expanded stories, fresh characters, new village areas, and even a brand-new theme that adds more depth to Ellie’s whimsical world.

On top of that, SUNNY SIDE UP confirmed improved quality-of-life upgrades, bug fixes, and overall gameplay optimizations—all based on feedback from its loyal Early Access community.

Release Details and Platform Availability

Mark your calendar: September 4 is the official date, but only for the Steam PC version. While Little Witch in the Woods originally appeared on Xbox Game Preview and PC back in May 2022, this full release will initially be limited to Steam. The developer hasn’t shared additional details about the Xbox version’s update just yet.

Also worth noting: the price will go up when version 1.0 launches. So, if you’re thinking of jumping in, now might be the best time to grab it at the Early Access rate.
