Capcom has announced that Monster Hunter Wilds, the next installment in the Monster Hunter series, will launch globally on February 28, 2025. The game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
Revealed during a recent State of Play event, the game’s new trailer highlighted key gameplay and story elements, introducing Arkveld, the flagship monster. Arkveld, a creature from a long-extinct species with chain-like wings, appears central to the plot, which focuses on the newly formed Forbidden Lands Research Commission.

The game will feature new locations, including the Scarlet Forest, known for its red rivers and dynamic environmental changes. New monsters like Uth Duna, a Leviathan-type, and Quematrice, a Brute Wyvern with flame-based attacks, will challenge players. The storyline follows a Research Commission investigating a mysterious monster, the “White Wraith,” and attempting to rescue a group called “the Keepers.”

Monster Hunter Wilds will offer multiple editions, including Standard, Deluxe, and Premium Deluxe, with additional DLC planned through Summer 2025. Pre-orders are now open, with bonuses available for early buyers.
