Zenless Zone Zero Gacha System Explained

Zenless Zone Zero’s second Closed Beta has finally shed light on its gacha system. In this article, we’ll check out the similarities and differences between ZZZ’s sister games, Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail. Let’s get to it!

Limited Banners

  • A 90-pull guarantee for the elusive S-Rank Signal, aligning with other HoYoverse games.
  • A 0.600% standard rate for an S-Rank Signal, accumulating to 1.600% over 90 pulls.
  • There’s a 50% chance of obtaining the Limited character when securing an S-Rank Signal. If not, a guarantee ensures the next S-Rank Signal will be the Limited character.
  • Signal A-Rank sees a higher standard rate of 7,200%, providing a more favorable accumulation rate for character acquisition.
  • The B-Rank Signal rate is firmly set at 92,000%, exclusively divided between W-Engines and Bangboos.

Permanent Banners

Permanent banners give new players a 20% discount for the initial five 10x pulls giving an opportunity to get an S-Rank character within 50 pulls. While it’s almost the same as the Limited Banners, the A-Rank character rate is reduced to 3,600%, while other rates increase to 1,800%.

Exchange System

Zenless Zone Zero enhances the gacha experience with a feature exchange system. Each gacha pull yields Residual Signals. Players can accumulate 50 Residual Signals to exchange for an Encrypted Master Tape, providing a 2x pull bonus on the Limited banner. A-Rank and B-Rank pull contribute to Residual Signals at varying rates.

While Zenless Zone Zero’s gacha system is quite similar to Genshin’s, ZZZ has a more user-friendly rate adjustment. However, keep in mind that these observations are during the Closed Beta Testing phase. There’s still a lot that could change in the game before it officially launches.

We hope that this information helps you when ZZZ officially launches. No release date has been announced just yet but it’s expected to drop around the first quarter of 2024. For more information, visit their official website.
