What to expect at this year’s Taipei Game Show

With less than 24 hours to go before the first day of this year’s Taipei Game Show fans are heavily anticipating the start of the festivities. With anything and everything that could happen over the next few days, here are a couple of things the team are looking forward to.

First Time Demo Experiences

With an international set of publishers both independent and major, game enthusiasts have so much to look forward too. A variety of genres could be experienced with Japan even having one of their titles Danganronpa 2×2 finally available to the global public.

Koei Tecmo Games is also unveiling their first global public demo for Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered and Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly Remake. Gravity also came out with their newest Ragnarok title in Ragnarok Online: World Journey which many are heavily anticipating.

New Game Showcases

Games that had also been released recently are showing themselves to the public for the first time in a global convention stage. Imagine, Arknights Endfield, which is only a week old has a full on display at the venue which many fans are anticipating. Another recent game with a dedicated booth to look out for is Heartopia taking care of the cozy section of the spectrum. This doesn’t include all the Indie Games found on the Indie Game Showcase floor and what makes this more impressive is how unique the games you’d discover could be.

Gaming The Gathering

Gaming is the unifying aspect of every guest in the Taiwan Game Show floor and to be surrounded by like minded individuals is something else entirely. Gacha game enthusiasts have their own sections regardless of their primary game and to see everyone mix and mesh well with each other is a delight. The Board Game Wonderland will also show this collaboration with various TCG fans of different backgrounds blending with each other and personally as a Magic The Gathering fan, I’m stoked.
