“Atelier Ryza” Anime Reveals Premiere Date & new trailer!

“Atelier Ryza” fans have something to look forward to as the anime adaptation of the popular role-playing game is set to premiere on July 1. The anime’s staff recently debuted its first promotional video, which previews the opening theme song “Golden Ray” by the music unit Sangatsu no Phantasia, and features additional staff members who will help bring the beloved game to life on the small screen.

The new staff members announced include Minato Kazuto as Advisor, Mariko Fujita and Kōdai Kitahara as Sub-Character Designers, Sachiko Yajima and Akira Harada as Prop Designers, Aya Akizuki as Monster Designer, Morihito Ohara as Art Setter, Teru Sekiguchi as Art Director, Ayako Aihara as Color Key Artist, Asahi Production as 2D Works provider, Daichi Nogami as Compositing Director of Photography, Kiyomi Yamada as Editor, and Ryousuke Naya as Sound Editor.

The anime is set to premiere on Tokyo MX, Gunma TV, Tochigi TV, and BS11 channels on July 1, with other channels such as YTV and TV Aichi also airing it. The show will feature the returning main cast from the game and will be directed by Ema Yuzuriha at LIDEN FILMS, with Yashichiro Takahashi overseeing the series scripts. Tomoyuki Shitaya will design the characters, while Kazuki Yanagawa will compose the music.

“Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout” was released by Gust brand in September 2019 for Japan, and in October and November of the same year for North America and Europe respectively. Its sequel, “Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy,” was released in January 2021 for PS4, Switch, and PC via Steam. With the two games combined having over 1.6 million units shipped worldwide, fans are eagerly anticipating the anime adaptation and what it will bring to the beloved franchise.
