“Bocchi the Rock!” has officially confirmed its second season is in production. This announcement was made during the Kessoku Band’s “We Will B” live event on February 15, 2025.

Teaser Illustration Unveiled

Accompanying the announcement, a teaser illustration by key animator Keimon Oda was revealed. The artwork features the socially anxious protagonist, Hitori “Bocchi” Gotō, caught in an awkward moment—startled by reporters while inadvertently flashing a peace sign.

Changes in the Production Team

Season 2 brings notable changes to the production team. Yūsuke Yamamoto, previously the assistant director, will now take the helm as director. CloverWorks continues as the animation studio, with Erika Yoshida handling the scripts. Keimon Oda and Kerorira return for character designs, ensuring continuity in the series’ distinctive visual style.

What to Expect in Season 2

While specific plot details and a release window have yet to be disclosed, fans can anticipate the continuation of Hitori Gotō’s journey. The series follows her evolution from an introverted guitarist to a more confident band member, offering a heartfelt exploration of personal growth and friendship.
