It’s been 30 years since Mobile Suit Gundam Wing first shook up the mecha anime world—and Bandai Namco Filmworks is going big to celebrate. At San Diego Comic-Con 2025, the studio announced a nostalgic wave of new content and returning favorites to honor the fan-favorite 1995 series.
And fans? You’re in for a treat.
Special Anniversary Video Now Streaming
One of the main highlights is the new “-Operation 30th-” tribute video, now available online. Featuring a mix of classic scenes and fresh animation, the video pays homage to Gundam Wing’s legacy, all set to the pulse-pounding tunes of TWO-MIX, the original theme song duo.
It’s not just a nostalgia trip—it’s a love letter to longtime fans.

New Manga Bridges Iconic Gundam Timelines
Perhaps the most exciting addition is a brand-new manga, Mobile Suit Gundam Wing 0.5: Point Half Preventer-7. This manga dives deep into the Wing universe, bridging the gap between Endless Waltz and the Frozen Teardrop novels. It’s a reunion of talent too—Sakura Asagi, the original illustrator, and Katsuyuki Sumisawa, Wing’s screenwriter, are teaming up once again.
The first chapter is already available online, including an English-language version for global fans.

Endless Waltz Returns to Theaters
That’s not all: Bandai Namco is planning a theatrical re-release of Endless Waltz in both Japan and the U.S. The iconic Gundam Wing film will return to the big screen this fall, starting with a special screening at the Japan Society in New York City. A wider theatrical rollout is also in the works, with more details expected soon.
