“Rascal Does Not Dream Of A Sister Venturing Out” Anime Film Reveals Full Trailer

The staff for the new sequel anime film project based on Hajime Kamoshida’s “Seishun Buta Yarō” light novel series has just released the full trailer for the first of two projects, “Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out.” Scheduled to debut on June 23rd in Japan, fans can now get a sneak peek at what’s in store for this highly anticipated sequel.

The trailer not only gives fans a glimpse of the upcoming film but also previews the theme song, a solo version of “Fukashigi no Karte” (Mysterious Chart) sung by Kaede Azusagawa (as voiced by Yurika Kubo), which is sure to get fans hyped up for the movie.

Director Sōichi Masui, who worked on the previous anime film, is back to direct the project at CloverWorks. Masahiro Yokotani is returning for composition and scripts, and Satomi Tamura is back as the character designer. Returning cast members include Kaito Ishikawa as Sakuta Azusagawa, Asami Seto as Mai Sakurajima, and Yurika Kubo as Kaede Azusagawa.

If you’re new to the series, “Seishun Buta Yarō wa Bunny Girl-senpai no Yume wo Minai (Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai),” the television anime based on the light novel series, premiered in Japan in October 2018 and aired for 13 episodes. The franchise’s previous anime film, “Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dreaming Girl,” which adapts the sixth and seventh light novel volumes, opened in Japan in June 2019. And “Rascal Does Not Dream Of A Sister Venturing Out” will adapt the eighth and ninth volumes.
