Square Enix confirmed that Jinushi’s hit manga Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You (Japanese: Super no Ura de Yani Sū Futari) will get a TV anime adaptation premiering on TBS in 2026. Jinushi even drew a special illustration to mark the occasion!
Jinushi originally launched the series on X (formerly Twitter) in March 2022, triggering viral attention. It later began serialization in Monthly Big Gangan from August 2022. The manga now has seven compiled volumes (Vol. 7 due July 25) and over 2.5 million copies in circulation.
