‘The Case Book of Arne’ RPG-Based Vampire TV Anime Premieres in January 2026

Vampire fans, rise and rejoice! A new supernatural murder mystery television anime, based on HARUMURASAKI’s original detective role-playing game The Case Book of Arne (Arne no Jikenbo), is set to premiere on January 6, 2026, with a total of 12 episodes.

Story and Characters

Based on the video game, The Case Book of Arne is set in the gothic town of Lügenberg, where non-humans live. It follows Arne Neuntöte, a vampire detective, and Lynn Reinweiß, a noble girl and vampire fanatic, as they form an unlikely alliance to solve bloody and mysterious cases across town.

The anime adaptation introduces Louis Hartmann, an original character, who will join Arne and Lynn’s adventure in a world full of supernatural creatures. The main key visual, which includes the trio, was revealed on Sunday, Oct. 19.

Cast and Production

The main cast and staff for the series are also revealed. Louis is voiced by Mariya Ise, Arne is voiced by Koki Uchiyama, young Arne is voiced by Aimi Tanaka, and Lynn is voiced by Yuka Nukui.

Studio SILVER LINK. (Masamune-kun no Revenge, Kokoro Connect) is producing the animation, with direction and series composition by Keisuke Inoue (My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!, Ao-chan Can’t Study!), character design and chief animation direction by Akiko Sato (Trigun Stampede, A Condition Called Love), and music composed by Yoshiaki Fujisawa (A Place Further than the Universe, Land of the Lustrous).

HARUMURASAKI, the two-person developer behind the video game, is also involved in the production. Murasaki (original writer) joins Keisuke Inoue in the series composition while Harutaro (original illustrator) designs the original characters.

The official trailer introduces the trio as they work together to unravel the secrets and mysteries of Lügenberg, offering a glimpse into the tension within Louis’ character and Arne’s vampire nature.

The Case Book of Arne video game was released by Vaka Game Magazine in 2017. It was adapted into a manga illustrated by Soraho Ina, which was serialized in Kadokawa’s monthly shojo magazine Comic Gene from November 2018 to March 2022, and collected into four volumes.
