Manga’s Ongoing Success

The manga, which launched in January 2021, continues to gain popularity. Viz Media and MANGA Plus release new chapters digitally in English as they debut in Japan. The series, set in the Kamakura period, follows Tokiyuki, a young samurai who survives the massacre of his family and embarks on a journey of survival and revenge. With the help of Suwa Yorishige, a lord who claims to be clairvoyant, Tokiyuki’s story unfolds in a historical yet fantastical setting.

Shueisha released the 17th volume of the manga in September 2024, further solidifying its success.

Second Season Expectations

Fans are eager to see how the anime will adapt the ongoing plot of The Elusive Samurai. Given the success of the first season and the continued popularity of the manga, expectations for the second season are high. No specific release date has been announced yet, but updates are expected soon.
