Wistoria: Wand and Sword Season 2 Announced

Following the conclusion of Wistoria: Wand and Sword Season 1 on September 29 with Episode 13, the second season of the anime has been officially announced. A trailer for Season 2 was released immediately after the finale. No additional details, such as a release date or production updates, have been revealed yet.

The anime, animated by Actas and Bandai Namco Pictures and directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara, gained steady popularity during its first season. Despite starting as a lesser-known title, it consistently ranked in the top 10 of various weekly rankings, earning spots at 9th and 5th in its first two weeks.

Wistoria: Wand and Sword is based on a manga by Danmachi creator Fujino Omori and illustrated by Toshi Aoi. The series has been serialized in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine since December 2020 and currently has 10 volumes. The anime is available for streaming on Crunchyroll, and Kodansha USA holds the English license.

The story centers on Will Serfort, a mage without magic, as he strives to become one of the world’s top mages, a Magia Vander, to reunite with his childhood friend Elfaria. Despite his lack of talent, Will perseveres, gradually earning the respect of his peers through hard work and determination.
